About me

My name is Renate Zimova. I'm a latvian illustrator and graphic designer currently
based in Milano.

I bring a certain mindset into my illustrations. I take the everyday, mundane routines,
which turn gray and boring over time, and prefer looking at them through curiosity
and a bit of mischief. This is how I hold onto the chaotic, childish self I've always been.

My focus is sociality, nature and fashionable characters, that I treat with playful
energy. I love working with analog pencil brushes and patterns for textured, crafted
feeling, plus vibrant colors and a lot of detail.

By connecting the unconnected, I want to throw away the adult filters and remind
people that joyful chaos is hiding in the mundane, if you know where to look.
